Obscure Hose on 2009 MKV GTI

I have had this GTI for about 6 months now, however I have not notice this repair that the previous owner had done before hand, one of the hoses on the top of the engine block was spliced and repaired with hose clamps. On the photo that ive attached, if you look at the oil fill, its the hose directly to the right of it. If anyone could point me in the right direction than that would be very very much appreciated, just trying to get this GTI in amazing running condition and this little issue is bothering me by the day. Also I believe this is an e888 engine, could be very wrong but that photo looks identical to my engine bay.

You really need to post up a bigger picture than that postage stamp so we can actually see what is going on.

If that's working leave it alone or try and cut it shorter and not kink it in the bend to clean it up a little. If you want a new uncut one, see the dealer for part about $50 or pull a good used one from a Pick your part type of place.
