Your spedometer is going to be VERY off with that wheel. 10.8% too slow to be exact.

You should be running 245/30/19's or 235/35/19's to get the closest to stock wheel size.

All calculations were made using the Miata.net wheel size calculator.

Other than the tire size, nice wheels!

Yup, no problem. Also, realize that tires with a 35 or 30 sidewall are going to ride very rough. My dad's car runs 245/45/19's just like what you have and I can feel every crack and bump when I drive it.

Your braking feels different because of the wheel size and weight of them.

225/35/19 would be closest to stock size.

FYI... You have almost as much ground clearance now as a brand new 2012 Tiguan...

Also, I'd be hopping ALL OVER this...

225/35/19 Continental Extreme Contact DW for $109

I paid $131 for 225/45/17's damn

I'm the last person to yell at someone to lower their car, but lower that shit man, geesh...

Dont you think 225's would be alot of stretch on those wheels? That why I listed 235 width.

Also, OP, jump on those DSW's those are some of the beast all season tires you can buy.

DSW sells tires? I thought they sold shoes?

No idea on the stretch because OP didn't list width of the wheels he got. Though if they are the same as what Tire Rack lists for the BBS-CHR wheels for the MK5 Golf, they are 8.5" wide. Tire Rack lists max rim width for the 225/35/19 Conti Extreme DW's as 9". If he is going to go low, he will need the stretch since he insisted on getting 19" wheels. Tire Rack does however recommend 235/35/19 tire size for a wheel size of 19"x8.5".

The closeout price is only for the Conti Extreme DW in the size I listed. Other sizes look to be regular price. 235/35/19 are $193.

If you are looking for All seasons, Tirerack has exactly TWO models in the 225/35/19 size from $159-$176 (Conti DWS is one model). For 235/35/19 they have 8 models, ranging in price from $164-$258.

So, I'd highly recommend snapping up those 225/35/19 Conti Extreme DW's (Maybe grab some extras, lol) and being that the OP is in Canada, invest in a 16" winter setup. Otherwise, ditch the 19's and get something smaller.

Next time, post on here before buying something...

I think 225/35/19 are the perfect amount of stretch on a 19x8.5. is that ok just wanted to post before i go buy another mistake.
