MEDIA-IN MDI IPOD IPHONE CABLE- ebay or dealer

Howdy Y'all,
Is this cable below for $22 the same cable that the VW dealers are charging $400 for? Is this all i need for my ipod to work in my mk6 VW gti golf that i have ordered and yet to pick up? how do i install? Going on one of the pictures it looks like a simple plug in near the park break??

Not sure about the cable but IF it is the right one then all you need to do is take your head unit out and plug in the new ipod adapter then find somewhere convenient to run the cable.:thumbsup:

You require the MDI option for this cable to work. This isn't the $400 dealer option.

This is the one that you guys are searching for. Biggest waste of money. If someone wants one then they are welcome to come collect mine in Brisbane, I haven't had it in the car for at least 3 years.

The device basically connects into the cd changer jack. You cannot use the cd changer at the same time. It will emulate a 6 stack cd with the first 6 playlists as the cds. No track information is transmitted to the headunit.
