Lights won't turn off

Hey all,

My GTI has the front passenger parking light (yellow light) and the passenger brake light (as if the pedal is depressed) illuminated and they will not turn off. I have tried unplugging the battery for a while and hooking it back up but the problem persists. It killed my battery sitting overnight.

I'm having a hard time finding a solution via search on multiple forums-- seems to be a weird issue. Any help is appreciated!

Best to have it diagnose in a dealer it could be a simple faulty switch or module.

Ok i may know the answer to this. Early mk5s have a setting where if you leave the turn signal switch on when you shut the car off the light stays on the front an back. One of my mkv jettas would do that.
