Isn't that how most mortgages are? It's ~1.6k for a one bedroom apartment where I live...and it's not even a good neighborhood

I bought my second house in 09 for 160 and put 66k down so my monthly is only 685 after property tax and insurance. Bought the place when the market bottomed out. It's worth about 275k right now and hopefully in 12 years when I retire it will be worth close to that.
If only vehicles did this shit.

Lol yeah, my first house, which I still own, did what cars do. I paid 225k for it, put 10% down, and now the place is worth less then $140k, even with the market coming back, and I owe 170k on it.
