Help G85 steering sensor not comunicating

hey guys so over the weekend i swapped the steering wheel for a multifuntion one and it works i coded it via vagcom , i also added cruise control and changed the steering wheel control module.

the signal stalk works the buttons on steering work .



problem is i now have the traction control error and steering wheel error on the dash

ive tried the g85 basic alignment but im getting no where, ive tried the adaptation also .

i am 100% sure i fitted the angle sensor correctly . im hoping iots just coding as i dont want to take the wheel off again . ANY HELP please

Well I took the steering apart yesterday and made sure everything is securely connected even the g85 sensor , everything is , still get the same error , and now sometimes when I'm turning the horn comes on and will not stop I have to turn off the ignition and turn the wheel for the horn to stop , any suggestions

Please see if Measuring Block, Group 004 has live G85 readings. If it does, do the login and see if Basic Settings will run.

Check field 1, the value has to be between -4.5 and +4.5 ° when the steering wheel is straight.

If the readings look good, try to run the Basic Setting for Steering Angle (G85) (See above)

If the sensor displays 0.0 ° turn the wheel left and right to make sure it's actually reading. If it's stuck on zero, you have a problem.

The replacement part is P/N: 1K0959654

yeah it stays at 0.0 ive orderd the new part fingers crossed
