I've had a Ferrari 308 and three Porsche's and the only car that, to me, sounded better than my R32 is a 1972 Pantera I had without any mufflers.

I spent all of last Saturday at a Rally Driving school.

The cars were Rally prepared STi and Evo 8 plus a Ford V8 pickup (don't laugh, the thing was factory prepared for rallying and bore no resemblance to a road car re handling)

All three cars were unbelievable to drive fast on loose dirt (provided you got the technique right).

So all day, all I listened to were the three rally cars being driven hard.

At the end of the day I got in my R32.

I gave it a bit of stick on the way home and in my mind the R32 was the best noise all day, the big V8 sounded pretty good but not quite, forget the STi & Evo.

seriously, none of you will justify the own noise of your car because of the fact its your car.

i think my inline 5 sounds better than 2.0t

if i had a GTI, i'd like the GTI grunt more than the rabbit and so forth.

a nice 5.7l V8 just woops about any car's ass.
