Airbag off light

does this light piss anyone else off when you see it. It looks like something is wrong when the light is on and I was wondering if there is a way to get rid of it without having someone sit in the passanger side.

dude the first time i drive my fast at night I took about 20 minutes before digging into the book to find out it was normal. I was getting pissed off, especially with only 300 miles at the time, i was ready to take it back, then I read the book. It doesnt really piss me off, ive gotten used to it but it would be nice not to see it.

Guys dont you have a key switch in the glove compartment to turn the airbag back on ??

I thought it was just weight sensitive and was off whenever someone didn't sit in the passenger seat. Is there something I don't know?

the passenger airbag is on in my car, so the light is never on.

You can turn the airbag off if you are say carrying a fwd facing baby seat as the airbag would then be dangerous if activated. The key switch is in the glove box and just turn it on with the ignition key. Thats how it works over this side of the pond anyhoo.
