We just had the lowest voter turnout in our Provincial election (similar to state elections) at 47%. Our conservative party won a landslide majority so we get 4 more years of the incumbent government which is fine by me. Just hope the federal ones change at some point.

The crazy thing is, the left will block any other measure that could actually help protect kids in schools, right freaking now. If adding security at schools is placing kids in prisons, then I suppose our politicians on capital hill are also in prison? So are our bankers? Hollywood elites? Everyone else guarded by guns? Biden seems happy in his prison/senior car center.

The fact is their only "solution" is gun control, gun control measures they keep vague and don't explain how any of them could have prevented past school shootings. If you don't share their solution you are somehow pro-kid-killer. This line of thought only leads to one thing, they are merely using school shootings as a tool for mass gun confiscation. These dead kids are tools to them for forwarding their anti-gun agenda.

What sounds like a better life saving short term solution:

1. Implement and fund standards to increase safety at all schools and hardening them against attacks.
2. Mass-gun confiscation (Who knows how many lives will be lost in the name of this, typically these end in holocausts)

Also, we need to remind everyone one of the worst school shootings in history, Columbine, was done under the assault weapons ban of 1994. The very school shooting these new messed up kids look for inspiration. It has been proven politicization and mass-media infatuation with these events cause copy-cats, its why these always come in waves.
