You should really tune to the POTUS channel some time. Smerconish and Dan Abrams have really good centerist shows that at the very least would give you a leg up when you're talking about this stuff instead of looking like you don't know what you're talking about. They're also pretty entertaining.

Related/unrelated, I saw a guy, Scott Galloway, on a show last Spring. Thought you may find him interesting beginning about 50 seconds in. Don’t care for Bill Maher (terrible interviewer/ always talks over his guests) but every now an then, almost as if by mistake, he books someone worth listening to.

Capitalism and empathy do not go together by definition. Carnegie and Rockefeller used to compete in who would squeeze the most out of their workers. Fuck them.

There's an excellent interview with a Russian economist that looks at pre-1953 Soviet economy and its undoing after 1953, that eventually brought about the collapse of the USSR (took them 40 years to make it crash from the inside). There's a reason the Soviet economy was booming in the 30s when the rest of the world was burning paper money because it was cheaper than firewood. Communism is jyst a scarecrow of a word used by conservatives that don't have the slightest idea they've been living in a world of corporate socialism for decades: business going well -- corporations fuck you over, business going bad -- corporations fuck you over. They never share their wealth that is generated by nine-to-fivers, but sure as hell share their hardships with all of us. Fuck them all.

So if we can't get it clear in the US, is it fair to say our government is intentionally causing us harm? Needlessly allowing people to lose their lives.

If so, do we continue to do nothing more than complain on Twitter about it?
