First, don't misquote me. I said almost better off, I didn't say it was just as good. The vaccine is still more effective, I recognize that. However, having high vitamin D is also very beneficial in reducing risk as proven in multiple studies which have already been discussed.

There is truth in the fact that a Vitamin D deficiency makes you more vulnerable, but at this time of year most people get sufficient quanities from the sun - and it isn't that vitamin D protects you in some fashion - just that a deficiency makes you more vulnerable.

The vaccine is hands down the best way to protect yourself.

Trump told people to put sunshine inside their bodies and ingest bleach. He told them it was just a flu, and discouraged mask wearing before we even had a vaccine. He told conservative in liberal states to not follow their states rules.

I didn't agree with the Biden administration and kept wearing a mask, but with the deaths over the last 6 months being 99.5% unvaccinated people, you could make a legitimate argument for either policy.
