Supposedly the vaccine can help to prevent severe illness even if you still manage to get mUH Covid.

Otherwise, actually getting covid and living should impart immunity to a second infection, albeit for an unknown amount of time. Basically exactly like the vaccine, but the vaccine obviously has less chance of killing your grandma.

Except natural immunity lasts 3 to 6 months, we don't want to kill off approx 1% of the population and a significant portion of survivors have organ damage.

There's a reason they don't let medical device salesmen make public health policy.
