2008 GTI (tsi/cbfa) Cranks but No Start

So a few months ago I was trying to pull onto a main road in heavy traffic from a steep incline parking lot exit. Thinking I was in first gear (6mt), I instantly stalled the car. Do the whole remove key, restart car thing and it just cranks. Just turns over until I either turn the key off of or let go of the clutch. I was super low on fuel and trying to get gas next. I thought maybe I had at first starved the pump of fuel and burned it up, especially considering the steep incline. Replaced HPFP, cam follower looked fine. Checked in tank pump by jumping straight from 12v, OB11 function test, and it also spews out plenty of fuel if you pull the feed line off the HPFP. Haven't test fuel past the HPFP, but OB11 is telling me I have ~1000psi at the rail. Physically Checked for spark on plug one by grounding it to block and seeing spark during daylight.

I don't believe my fuel pump primes when i open my drivers door (it has a messed up locking harness issue that had pre-existed many many months). The MFD still displays when the door is open, but I don't hear the pump prime until I turn the key to the "run" position. Also pre-existing is the ESP issue with the steering angle sensor ever since a slight wreck.

I've swapped around relays A1 and A2 in the underhood fuse panel. A1 - Terminal 30 voltage supply relay -J317- (marked w/ 100) seems to get warm to the touch with the keys in the ignition, as does Terminal 30 voltage supply relay 2 -J689- (marked w/ 449).

Basically every dash light is on; epc, cel, battery, esp, etc. Also interesting are the screenshots below...

Fried ECU? Bad Ignition Switch? Bad ECT?

Also...

I only recently got the OBD11 after the no-start condition, so I can't confirm any prior DTC's, however, my ESP light had been for the previous 6+ months since when my friend slightly wrecked my car. Nothing I've read has given the slightest indication that the angle sensor could cause a no start either. And if it did, i'm not sure how it would possible to even perform the basic setting since step 1 is to start the vehicle.

Could it be the N75 with the drastic difference of specified vs actual boost pressure...especially when the car is requesting 37psi while the car isn't even started, just ignition on. It realizes the engine speed is 0 RPM yet it thinks it's at 100+%.

It also thinks the fuel temp is -54*...I don't think that has ever happened in the history of Atlanta. I've read that a faulty coolant sensor could cause a no-start. The only problem is that I haven't found any cases of the ECT causing a no-start for being too cold. Everything seems to be the opposite, no start when engine is hot and must wait until it cools off to start.

I think your reader doesn't show valves that make sense. The boost requested is 3 psi which N75 at 2% (close) so this is normal, but the actual boost is shown at 37 psi?!?

So either your reader doesn't work or you have serious electrical problems. The angle sensor will not prevent the car to start but would explain, steering wheel, CEL and esp lights, battery is normal during startup but epc is not I think.

Well when most of the other stuff looks correct, it's odd that marginally few appear to be way out of whack. I'd say that's a strong correlation to why it doesn't start.

Try to find someone with Vcds to perform an Auto Scan, save that scan and clear codes try and to start engine perform another scan and save it and post.

What is the difference between the VCDS scan and the OBD11 scan that I posted?

When I clear the codes from my OBD11 scan, the only ones that stay after clearing are the steering angle sensor and headlight regulation. If I try to start the car and rescan, I'm back to the scan of what I originally posted.

Well your ODB11 does not display the actual fuel pressure, only the specified (the expected one). Or maybe it displays it in "engine torque" ? If so then your fuel pump is shot, either the HPFP or the LPFP. To know you would have to look at both LPFP and HPFP fuel pressures "actual" vs "specified".

As I stated,

Checked in tank pump by jumping straight from 12v, OB11 function test, and it also spews out plenty of fuel if you pull the feed line off the HPFP. Haven't test fuel past the HPFP, but OB11 is telling me I have ~1000psi at the rail.

Ok, sorry I read that but you put the screenshot of the specified pressure and as you stated that the "actual" boost of 37 psi was the requested boost I thought you got it wrong on the fuel pressure as well.

Then it's probably something else, a vacuum leak can prevent the car to start, I had the issue with a stuck open N80. It still started but not every time. Did you check vacuum? N80, PCV?

Oh I see now, yeah, I meant to put it's requesting 3psi but shows as getting 37. I feel that's even worse than how I accidentally worded it...the car isn't even on. How does the car THINK it's receiving 37psi when it's actually receiving 0...?

What and how should I test from here?

It's normal for the pressures not to match as long as the car isn't in boost. Actual pressure shows atmospheric pressure while requested shows a vacuum if not in boost. Even if it's a bit strange that's the way this measuring block works. But 37 psi is strange.

I would think the sensor/ecu would be tared for atmospheric pressure? As in the standard ~14ish psi is set to 0psi. Regardless, 37psi is ~2.5x what it should show if not tared...

Anyone with vcds/obd11 wanna go look at live data for this with ignition on/engine off?

It will show atmospheric pressure or about 1000mbar with engine not running rpm showing zero.

I have done it already with VCDS, for some reason that block doesn't show vacuum even with engine running, the minimum value is atmospheric pressure. The specified value on the other hand shows vacuum. Under boost both show atmospheric pressure + boost pressure combined. At least on the FSI engine.

Exemple here (not my video): https://youtu.be/mDBGseqfC5Y
