sunroof fully opened?

For some reason, the sunroof on my 2008 gti 2dr doesn't open all the way. Is this normal? The manual cover will slide all the way into the car but the sunroof stops. Is this normal? I would appreciate a reply.

Yes. It's normal. If you want it open ALL the way, turn and hold the knob. It will make a lot of buffeting noise when you're in motion though.
