I just weighed stock wheel and tire on a expensive calabrated scale 50 lb total. that leaves 28 lb for rim using Tirerack tire weight

12-13kg per rim. Went thru the process when replacing them with OZ Ultraleggera's......
best thing I did, nearly halved the unsprung weight replacing the OEM's.....

I replaced the stock wheels with Volk RE30 @16.5 lb / 7.5 kg each

you guys test your average mpg? notice any difference after getting lighter wheels? or accel difference? with my rsx, when I went from stock wheels to one size larger and only a few lbs more, I was able to notice a difference. thats why I'm asking. seems like 28lbs to 16lbs would make a huge noticable difference in accel.

I think by my butt dyno the car feels quicker. I also think the rebound on the suspension is much better, reacts better on larger bumps. the only thing that is not quicker is me opening my wallet because after buying Volks along with michelin PS2's there aint nothing left!

The 2008 R32 OE wheel weight is 28 LBS---heavy!!!!1
