what do i plug it into?
*FIX FOR 'BROKEN' GPS*
Someone mentioned that if you have a 'broken' GPS you should unplug any attached USB devices and it will begin working again.. well they are correct!!
I've done that and my GPS is working again - I've also plugged back in the USB stick too!
That's saved me a few quid!!

Hey guys, anyone know what the latest maps for Australia/iGo 8.3 are?
I'm thinking about switching to Tom Tom too, anyone have a complete package specifically for the WD 6050 for download?
BTW - my MK IV unit is 8ish months old and works brilliantly.

Ive got, TomTom, Garmin and Igo8.3.
In my opinion Igo is the better Nav. I use 16.1 mapset.

Bluetooth Tip - Not Pairing/locking up solution
My iPhone was not pairing automatically and when I forced it to pair manually, it would lock up the whole HU.
Changing the name of the iPhone fixed everything! (double click on it in iTunes). Don't know if the name was too long or it was the apostrophe (Chris's iPhone) it didn' like.

ACC wire
Can someone help me locate the ACC wire?
My HU came without the three extra wires. I *think* they care cut off as you can see in the picture. (Is it #2?)
My understanding of the previous posts is that if I attach the ACC wire to +12V the HU will turn on without the ignition having to be on.
I was just planning a simple manual switch so I can turn on the radio while waiting in the car.

When i'm in nav and the phone rings i can answer by bluetooth.
But in the meantime i can not look on my nav.
Is that normal and can it be changed?

VW Schemes for IGO8
VW Scheme for IGO8
Colours work well in our cars with IGO
Copy zipped files into scheme directory on SD card.
Adj Cont and Bright in Win CE 1st until white is bright with min hues then fine adj with remote whilst IGO open
Back up your SD card 1st etc etc, no responsibility taken....blah blah
