a quick question:

I wanted to try a movie on my unit. Put a divx file to the USB memory but couldn't find how to play it.
when I go to USB device from SRC menu, I can see the file , when I click it, I only get a black screen.
how can I play movies ?

does it support divx ? what about subtitles ?

Heya, one question I can't seem to find readily... can I play a DVD filled with MP3's? That would be dope. It would have more capacity than my original premium 7 unit!

Anyone else having Gps Signal problems this week?
In WINCE, its connected and gets Lat and Long but nothing in the sat monitor.
Garmin obviosly wont work as it cant get sats.

Not really losing the signal, but it has taken a little longer to catch the signal a few times this week.

Yes you can I have a DVD with 40 Albums on it, and it works just like the SD Card does "Folder by name > then tracks by No"
One thing to do is not have jpeg file's on the same disk as this seems to take over when the laser finds one in an album and it goes looking for all the rest.
The disk I have had the box covers included in the folders which becomes a pain while you are driving.

no, my hack install files on sd and flash, not on local ram. Some files are hidden and can`t be accessed. If you have memory problems, that is because of the navigation program.

HU power on without turning on ignition

I have a a question, How can I make it so that the wd6050 will be on when the car is not on? Right now the only way of turning the panel on is to turn the car on.

With the original radio I was able to turn it on even with the car off.

Cheap and cheerful way to fix the power-on issue:

1. Find a suitable fuse that always has power
2. Remove the fuse
3. Solder on a wire to the fuse (fused-side) run this to a small switch on the dash at knee-level.
4. Connect this cable to the RED ACC wire on the HU

Now you just flick the switch if you want to listen to the radio without the car running. You don't need to mess with the car electrics. You can just remove the fuse an replace with the original if it needs to go in for warranty service etc.

It's a bit of a Fred Flintstone solution, but it works for me.

@mrmrmrmr, it supports any divx xvid file . also subtitles by default, my movies always worked. Doesnt support x264, mkv, etc

you mean it should work without a WinCE patch ?
if yes, can you tell me how to do that ?
I connect my usb stick and click USB from the SRC menu.
Then I see the divx file but it does not play.
Am I doing something wrong ?
