Work done / smog questions

Hey guys, just wondering what place(s) in the Bay Area is the consensus on best place to get work done?

I don't mind doing minor wrench work myself but for stuff like chip and exhaust I'd feel more comfortable having a licensed person do.

I tried to look for a thread about this before but couldn't, if theres already one up post a link, I hate useless threads as much as the next guy.


also, what kind of smog problems, if any have you run into while tuning your VW? California is a bitch for emissions rules as we all know, so how have you circumvented them, or dealt with them?

You can check out 034 motorsports in fremont or streetwerke in palo alto. General consensus for those two is pretty positive. Try 034 first since it's much closer to where we live.

The only time you'd have issues with smog is if you went stage 2. Look up the thread under the General section.
