What is the defination of Stage 1, 2, 3

I'm sure someone has already outlined the stages before but could someone either forward me the link or just outline it again

What is considered Stage one ? So far I've come up with CAI and Stage one chip maybe a PCV fix (euro jet or BSH) Cat back exhaust

What is considered Stage two? So far I've come up with Race extention on the CAI PCV catch can, stage two chip, Turbo back exhaust, HPFP and FMIC

and

What is considered Stage three? So far I've come up with Stage 3 chip PCV BSH race catch can, water/meth injection, bigger brakes, Coil overs, Cam? Bigger turbo

stage 1: Stage 1 tune

Stage 2: Intake, downpipe, stage 2 tune

Stage 2+ Intake, downpipe, fuel pump, stage 2+ tune

Stage 3: big turbo

Is an intake required for stage 2?

Yes.

A high flow filter might also work, such as an ITG or something like that.

so Im on the right track, I havent started anything yet - but think I will skip stage 1 and go right for 2+

That's what I thought, didn't think an intake was absolutely necessary.

true but highly suggested. along with all the other crap that will break on you with stage2 heck even stage 1. for the FSI of course. TSI your good

stage 1 is a large boost in power, stage 2 slightly adds more on top of that, and stage 3 is another large jump in power above stage 2
