Try 35-38 psi. The tpms should def turn off at that pressure. For cold weather, Im at 33ish psi. Works great for me in the NY cold

I don't think the spare will trip the sensors unless you recently had it on the car. Mine was low and it didn't trip.

Just run the pressures that are on that sticker in your door jamb.

my mk6 tire pressure recommendation is 38 psi. I think this is too too stiff and is done for newer gas mileage standards. Older GTIs with the saem Huff wheels were running 35 psi.

I run my mk6 at 36 psi cold pressure. Nice compromise !

yes they do, it's called friction.
