Strange Clutch Issue?!

So! No strange smells, check engine lights, noticible leakage or performance issues and out of no where my clutch pedal didn't stick to the floor, but was slow to return after I pushed it down?! When in gear, no slippage, nada. But when up shifting or down shifting it would take a second for the pedal to return to its normal non depressed state?! Then midway home it started acting normal again? What do you think? Car has 76k miles, it's a 6 speed (obviously, lol). Thank you for any an all assistance in advance!

Pressure plate or slave cylinder issue.

You will probably have to take the trans off and have a look. If the master is not leaking and pushing the slave and not getting pushed back up by either the slave or preasure plate it wont push the pedal back.

You might be able to pull the starter and stick a borescope in to hopefully see something obvious.

Sounds like a slave cylinder issue, probably have to take the trans down and replace it.

Normally to diagnose wether it's a master or slave issue is you clamp off the hose to the slave with a proper hose clamp and then press the clutch pedal. If the pedal is hard, then it's your slave, if the pedal is soft then it's your master, but can be the slave too. Hope that helps
