Had a couple of friendly runs with a buddy. He's in here, maybe he will chime in. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PpqX7vIiqU

Video car:
APR Stage 2 (running 100 oct file)
Neuspeed intake
ATP downpipe
2.5" catback (some weird brand)
DO W/M kit

Car being recorded:
REVO Stage 2
ATP intake
ATP downpipe
3" custom catback
APR fuel pump
Forge twincooler

Both cars DSG.

Did a couple of runs and the cars perform almost identically. In this video I messed up the launch with too much wheel spin, but we did a second run from a stop and it was side to side.

Enjoy.

If you don't have the stg2+hpfp file on the revo car the APR car had a huge advantage from the start! Having the specific 100 oct file with w/m is like having the benefit of an upgraded hpfp, software and race gas!

This should be fun. Hey op, do you have the REVO pump file? Also was there a passenger doing the recording?

No, mine is the APR file. And yes, both cars have 1 passenger, mine is doing the recording.

oh ok, for some reason I thought you were the revo car, did you have it in sport mode or manually shifting? It looks like his tires hooked up before yours but you kept a steady pace after.

Sports mode, made the mistake of giving it too much gas in first gear. The RPMs went straight to redline and the tires went up in smoke. In the video you can see the car stays at 30 mph for a little bit.

Really good video man! Love to see some more runs and some from a roll so its a power race. surprised the guy with w/m doesn't see fuel cuts without a HPFP.

Umm w/m is an alternative fuel source lol. Which is why I stated it alone on the factory hpfp is about the same as running an upgraded hpfp :readthethread: If you have the controller set to on at the beginning of boost building and full when peak pressure is achieved it is making up for the lack of fuel that is brought on by early spool and not having the rail pressure built up enough to properly maintain your requested AFR. Have you ever looked at injector duty cycle post, prior to installing a w/m injection system?

Why else would you think a guy having w/m on factory hpfp would run into fuel cuts? Please? =)

Wow the outcome is somewhat suprising to me. 100 octane plus the file really does that much? I run pretty much the same setup except no W/M and no 100 octane file. I thought the Revo car would've pulled harder with the HPFP, but apparently the W/M and 100 octane do a lot.

Nice run. What's the Revo GTI's username?

Because a lot of people have seen fuel cuts with just a stage 2 file including myself? You realize I was blaming a fuel cut on the lack of a HPFP and not w/m, right? I was just talking about the guy with water meth. But once again we can count on you to bash a thread involving APR.

 Where's the bashing I know what these modifications can and can't do and what both of their software requests for the car to do. Shit call me a specialist, but I can tell you fuel demands, boost demands, ignition timing advance demands, requested AFR, and for each one's respected stage and specific file! While I might not know how the car is meeting those requests I have a great understanding of what its "supposed" to do. Being DSG just makes it that much simplier!
