I have taken my car to H2Sport for all $12000 of mods I've done to my car. H2Sport has decided to get out of the service business and is focusing on parts development. I checked out the recommended shops and tried Precision Tuning to put on TyrolSport collars. Went yesterday and not only was Perjad not able to complete the job (1/12 collars wasn't fitted in) but I didn't get a great sense of comfort speaking with him. I felt he was negative on a lot of things in general and no constructive feedback or suggestions. I get more from VW dealer techs!

Please recommend a passionate professional that has lots of experience with GTI's!

Many thanks.

Few shops that I use, and I'll only go to them.

1) Independent Tuning - Mark is a great guy. He's a Master VW/Audi Tech, and a VW/Audi Specialist. Anything like VW/Audi specialized I will take to him.

2) 360 Auto - Chi is amazing. Great tech over-all, shop isn't like brand new and clean, but he's a great guy, talks to you and gives you good recommendations. I take all mechanical work, like coilover installs, and what not to him.

Oh, forgot to also mention another shop.

K&H Radiators. Best APR dealer in Toronto hands down.

Great service, extremely helpful and goes the extra mile to make you happy. Also does VAGCOM Coding and everything.

Can also install and diagnose any issues, had my Big Turbo (APR Stage 3) installed by them, along with Mounts/Brakes, pretty much everything big on my GTI when I had it.

+1 for Independent Tuning

Brought my car there to replace wheel bearings yesterday. Shop is super-clean and service is excellent.

Perjad @ Precision Tuning is quite anti-modding/anti-aftermarket and he's very vocal about it! He's good for suspension installs and scheduled maintenance though.

Mark installed new suspension in September... Eibach replaced under warranty... He is a great guy and I feel very comfortable with his level of professionalism. My new shop

to the OP, what TyrolSport collars are you referring to?

i have the Tyrolsport caliper pin (2x on each caliper), Nigel from Zoom auto re-lube those pieces for me everytime i do oil change, he charge me only $10 for that.

check out the $50 (now $60 Motul oil change thread for his location)

Mark @ Independent is not as very tuner friendly I believe. I've taken my car over there before, and asked him about Big Turbo setups and what not, and also going K04, he doesn't approve of it. He said, it's better to keep the car stock and stay away from such trouble.

However, he is very good with VW maintenance and what not. Brian @ Independent was a tuner of that shop, but apparently he left and moved to Ottawa I think.

I too am also looking for a good Tuner. I found Auto Select Tuning, but is too darn far where I live. K&H is not far but I think he is pretty busy all the time.

There is also Pfaff Tuning but is expensive as heck.

It's sad to hear that H2Sport has decided to get rid of their service department.

I normally take my car to Railside Auto...but sometimes feel disappointed because Sam's staff aren't very knowledgeable with VW and Audi tunes, only Sam is the one that tunes the car. It gets bad when you have to take the car back and forth cause they haven't finish the work. So I told him that only him can touch the car, nobody else.

As for the TyrolSport kit. Sam installed it for me, and he did a great job.
