Rear driver side tire cupping

Anyone experienced this issue before? On the highway the humming/rotational noise is very uncomfortable. Could it be bad struct causing this?

I think it's called cupping/scalloping.

My bro drives a MK6 Golf and is having the same issue on the same tire.

Not sure what to do here. I'm still on the stock Pirelli tires. My brother has a set of Continental tires. Both of us are experiencing the same issue.

I had that issue. 1 of your wheels might be bent.

Or maybe a simple alignment could help but at this point I don't think there's anything you can do to fix it other than new tires but idk.

Edit: don't think it was a bent wheel problem because I remember it was more than 1 wheel.

What pressures are you running your tyres at? Just odd you are both getting the sane issue.

This happens to ALOT of the cars we see...make sure tire pressures are correct, sometimes an alignment helps. We dont know the why, CCs are the worst, mkvi gtis are second.
