Osram Xenarc SVS HIDs Installed

Thought it was time to change out the HID bulbs in the GTI as they are 6 yrs old and on the downhill slope in terms of output. After much research I decided on getting Osram Xenarc 66240 SVS bulbs from The Retrofit Source. They are suppose to be the brightest quality bulbs you can get right now.

Specs:
Kelvin Rating 4200K (OEM color)
Lumen Rating 4160 lu
Rated Lifetime 2500 hours (approx 7-10 years under normal use)

Is was between the SVS or the CBS


CBI Spcs:
Kelvin Rating 5000K (Pure white)
Lumen Rating ~3200Lu
Rated Lifetime 2500 hours (approx 7-10 years under normal use)

I went with the SVS because of the higher output and from HID forums the SVSs should get to a nice white light after burn in.


I also decided it was time to change the 4300k HID fogs for some 3000k.


I have yellow bulbs in the FTP if you where wondering.


Pics: All the bulbs are new so they have <1 hr on them and still burning in after burn in the colors will be more equal and brightness will increase as well as a whiter main HID light and yellower fog.
