need help with a jailbroken ipod touch

i have a jailbroken ipod touch, i believe 1st or 2nd gen since there's no camera. i cnat do anything with it since the previous owner put a password to it and my itunes cant sync it. i want to reset it so i can use it but i dont know to do that. can anyone help me?

Connect it to iTunes, right click on the iPod and click restore. If that doesn't work try putting it in dfu mode and doing it

Or return it to the original and apologize to the owner.

who said it was stolen? it was unclaimed after 90 days at my dad's hotel so management said anyone can have it

i connected it but a window from itunes pops up saying "itunes could not connect to opid because it is locked with a passcode". and when i turn it off and turn it back on the apple logo flips around into a skull

If you haven't tried already, enter into DFU mode (youtube), connect, and restore a new.
