Yeah, i've heard about the cam follower, i've bookmarked a couple walkthroughs on checking it.

but for now i'll be good figuring out the stereo and heater a/c controls lol.

and DV is diverter valve right? whats the PCV?

yes, dv is diverter valve. it's located on the turbo. pcv system is positive crankcase ventilation, they are prone to failure on the earlier model mkv's. both are easy fixes.
