I just bought an 06 GTI to replace the one I lost

I tried hard to justify getting an 08 but after much careful thought got a nice 06 with only 16,000 miles and 6MT for 18,000 plus tax and license. I really checked it out carefully: took it to my shop person at the local VW/Mercedes dealer for a mechanical check and took it to a body shop to check the paint and body. Everything looks great. I kind of miss having DSG but am really enjoying the manual tranny. It feels good. :w00t: Thanks to everyone for all the great advice; it's great to still be here.

Replaced the GTI...

Sorry for being so dumb; no it wasn't lost, it was totaled by my insurance company after I got in an accident that smashed the front end a bit too much to be easily be fixed.
