I have a 2005 1.6 FSI that I bought in January. When I picked the car up the dealer had replaced the EGR valve as the light was on when I test drove the car.
A couple of weeks later the light came on again, it went back to the dealer and was diagnosed and had the throttle body cleaned and the fuel filter changed.
Now the light has come on again. I went to a different garage and they plugged it in and came up with the error P2177 - Fuel System Bank 1. They then did an induction leak test, tested all the injectors, swapped them all and tested again, tested the regulator, fuel pump solenoid and the resistance on all the switches. All is ok!
The car still drives perfectly... Any ideas why the light comes on? Could it just be a faulty sensor or dash bulb?
