She keeps her nails very short because she's a massage therapist. She is also a manager at pier 1 imports. After a work related back injury (three herniated discs) she took time off her massaging and let her nails grow out. The outside is fine, but the inside is almost like she is trying to GTFO like I pull a knife or something.

She has a beetle and I take better care of her car than she does...she just doesn't understand. I scratched my fender doing work on my car. It sucks, but shit happens. She pulls out luggage and lets it slam down on the bumper and just walks away like nothing.

I bought my car when brand new for 14 grand. I'm about as anal as someone who owns a showcar.

I feel the OP's pain, but I do Agree with you. Honestly, If I get road chips and scratches thats all good. Hell I even have a little hole in my leather seat. I live with it. But when someone Disrespects your property it pisses me off. I work hard and my car is one of my favorite possessions. (Second to the pornbox, I mean Computer) When Im in someone else's car I treat it with respect and im careful. Id except the same in return.

I know it might just be a scratch, but disrespect is disrespect. Such people are not usually in my company very long.....

Thank goodness some people still get it around here. It's a respect thing.

yea, I agree with the "its just car car" thought line on this thread.

When someone does that, I usually take a second to look at the ding, and rub over it with a finger, making the point that I saw what the person did. If they apologize, and agree that they're buying that night at the bar, I'll live and let go. If they either ignore it, or even worse say some shit like "oh it's just a scratch, you'll live"....someones gonna "fall down the stairs." I know it might just be a scratch, but disrespect is disrespect. Such people are not usually in my company very long.....

i just tell them, oh, its just a long flight of stairs....:paddle:

Claw marks.....how long are her damn nails???

LOL......

You can always tell how a person is by the way the outside and inside of their car or house/apt/room is kept.

Do you get in their car and there is old soda cans, paper, old candy bar wrappings thrown in the back or on the floor of the car?

When bird shit is on their car,are they one of those folks that drive around with it like it's a vinyl decal??

Is their car clean on the outside or can you write Please,Wash Me! on the car because it's layered in dirt?

If their stuff looks like crap, pretty certain they will treat yours the same.

Me being a woman,I don't allow eating or drinking in either on of my vehicles.

When I had my Bronco II back in the day,I made the mistake of letting my two godsons and son eat and drink their McDonald's strawberry shake in the truck.

While they were horseplaying the damn shake ended up on the ceiling of the truck, was never able to get that nasty ass stain out because it was cloth.

So true. Many people will take their first impression from how you are dressed, how your hair is done, stuff like that. I don't notice any of that, but I do notice how you keep your car. But there seem to be a lot of exceptions to this rule as well. Many of my neighbors keep a freakishly clean house, but their cars look like crap, because they don't maintain them. My bedroom is very cluttered...I'm a packrat. There's books piled up on the floor because I have no more shelf space, stuff like that. But I keep my GTI very clean, inside and out. I had a small box and a receipt in the backseat floorboard, but I don't like having crap cluttering up my car, so I took them out. Heck, I even keep the interior of my rusty '72 Super Beetle clean. The exterior looks like crap, it's about 5 different colors of paint now, I've stopped caring about it.
