Was your friend able to find out what the problem was? Currently experiencing a similar situation: phase position at -9 KW with new belt kit (timing looks good) and new chain/tensioner on the other side.

I measured mine and it is at 42.34mm after 300k KM on the cam.

Don't you need to remove the subframe in order to press out the original mounts first?

I gave the shop IE valve guides to install at the time but they said it will be too much machine work in getting them adjusted. The old ones were in good shape so they let them in place and only did the seals.
