Go ahead and buy the Manual Boost Controller along with your F23T. Save yourself some time and worry.

I would highly recommend this, specially if your tune is other than DMīs/Eurodyne, i say this because DM has dropped the F23T support MBC is a must have, good luck with the build btw, mine is finally getting there.

You could thank the WG inconsistencies on Frankenturboīs end, now imagine someone running a tune intended for a K04 or something like that (like me running Revo K04 soon), MBC is a must, some people seems to have managed to run with no MBC on DM tho.

Thanks for the input guys! However, I may have to start a new thread as ive dropped the F23T and am going with a Garret GTX2867R or the Borg Warner HFE equivalent. Staying with DM for the tune and seeing as they don't support FT anymore I decided to go big or go home lol.

Its coming along much more slowly than I want (Kid/life/wife/etc) but parts are coming in weekly lol. Starting to get a nice parts pile going lol, water meth kit should be here Thursday :-)

This winter when I down the car, I'm pulling the motor and doing a full rebuild, port and polished head, and most of the good stuff is going on. Come spring I should be most of the way done with engine/trans stuff, then comes the cage and lots of weight shaving!

Well I'm 90% sure this is the turbo I will be going with. If any one want to chime in please do. Still considering a BorgWarner HFE, but for the price difference, having a hard time justifying it.

Have not updated in a while, and really just need to start a new thread as the turbo has changed. But for now, IE Tuscan rods, RS4 injectors and fuel rail valve should be here next week. Ill get some pics of my parts pile, ive added a lot since the last update.

CTS TB pipe, Fluidampr, and dogbone mount came a few weeks ago.

Go fast bits DV+, Snow Performance dual nozzle kit and 60ml nozzle will be here Friday. Ordering the AWE DV relocate as well.

Slowly but surely the parts keep rolling in, this is just such a slow process.

But worth it!! Do it right! I suggest getting the Delrin inserts from eurocars, the BSH bushings tend to shred (happened to me).

Oh I know, that's why its taking so long lol. But I fear my target of up and running by spring is not going to happen. The motor was supposed to be out like 3 weeks ago, but life has a way of flipping the proverbeal bird at your plans.

I'm waiting till I have the head off to order pistons, not sure what I'm going to find. On a side note, I'm almost more excited to get my subframe and entire front end reassembled with new hardware and the tyrol sport deadset kit. Ive got A LOT of popping and creaking that's been driving me nuts!

Christmas was good to the GTI!

Finally got my dual nozzle setup put together, waiting on the HPA intake mani for the DPI setup.

Got my new IC hoses.

And test fit on said IC

Got the GFB DV+

Very well put together kit! I'm pleased with the finish/build quality

Now waiting for the bottom end components to come in, should be here early next week! Also trying to decide between the Supertech valvetrain or the Ferrea. Its crazy how fast it all adds up lol.

@GNWF- Funny, that's what my wife said lol.

@Epic_Sandwich- Thank you, that's been my mentality since the begining and has proved to be worth while.

Waiting to order pistons till I have the head off and see what condition the cylinder walls are in. Hoping to stick with stock stroke, bore and compression. Also a little torn, trying to decide if I should build the top end now or just do the bottom end and run it for the summer like that, then do the head next winter. Trying to do this right but not completely loose my mind and blow way to much money.

I will talk to DM and see what they think.

Edit: Also forgot to mention, the autopower cage will be here in 3 weeks and hopefully my raxles show up by then as well!
