I like my car quiet, so I will do what I can to keep it that way. I was thinking of buying a stock R32 suitcase muffler/tips and running that.

UPDATE:

The rear bumper is installed, not too hard at all, that's why I LOVE OEM parts, too easy. The paint on the bumper Warren sent me is much nicer than the other paint on my stock bumper haha. The only issue I ran into was once I was putting the new bumper on I forgot to replug the license plate light wire back in.

The old bumper and taillights are out:

side by side comparison of the old one and new one:

and installed:

I had a Menieke cut off the old suitcase muffler and weld on some cheap tips I found, I am not 100% happy with how the exhaust is sitting so I haven't taken pictures of it yet. I am going to try and have it fixed before pictures of that. I might even wait until I find some nice looking tips online before pictures.

Yeah just went for another drive. :(

The exhaust tips sit too low and sounds really bad imo. I am one sad panda. They look like the perfect size imo, looks almost like stock R32 size. I am thinking picking up a used R32 suitcase muffler and buying some nice tips is what I should do.

Thoughts? Pictures might have to wait until tomorrow.

well first --looks good!

for tips, I was originally gonna use (well, actually did have, now BurgerGuy is running them) Magnaflow 4" tips. I can get you the part number if you want.

and maybe hit up BurgerGuy as he did what you are trying to. Lopped the stock suitcase, and had a Y fab'd with the two 4" Magnaflows.

This is almost exactly what I did:

I wanted EJ tips, but they don't sell them separately, same with 42DD. I would love the part number.

if you want to quiet it more, you can get two inline short silencers (i think magnaflow has them as well), and put them in. same model as the Neuspeed R32 exhaust

I will look into that, I would like it to sound close to how it did before. I knew removing the suitcase muffler would make it a little louder, but not this much.
