So, I love the new steering wheel. And from what I have seen so far, so do most of you people.

But, you know me. Cant leave anything just be. I have to add my own personal touch

So, I have been cruising lately like this

LoL

That is just for me to hit the horn when needed. Lucky me i know which pins to use for horn from my racing steering wheel experience. Where is my airbag I hear you saying.

i will tell you that even with it on, no horn, no bueno.
No light in the buttons either. Airbag? No, not really.

So first things first.

The airbag went to the trim shop. hehe

Dont rush. This is just a first attempt

And although it wasnt bad, it was a bit tacky

Rejected the red airbag attempt

Stitching was perfect and would stay

Made some LEGO key chains till airbag attempt #2 was ready

And it was ready

YES, now we're talking

I loved it

Installed it

yes you are seeing correctly - buttons are red now

Then went for a mountain ride to enjoy it on twisty roads

Athens from above

Buttons as you saw are now red with interior lighting, horn works, and also airbag :)
And I tell you it wasnt easy. The hardest part though, will be to make multifunction buttons work, even on a car that had multifunction steering wheel before.

More to come

Are those LED's or halogens with blue glass?
I love interior LED's, I can't picture myself ever going back to regular halogens.

Hello there. I have some updates to show. Those of you following me on instagram, @mgpdoc , have already seen this.

So, a while back I had bought a cupra lip, which I didnt go ahead to fit when I bought, because it was very much off, and even an attempt to go for it, required serious amounts of time.

There were already scratches at the lower part of the bumper, result of living the low life with this as a daily beater.

So decided to give it a go and see how it goes.

Here is my manual on how to fit it, LoL

And this is what I mean by off

Unlike the A4 that was very similar to the lip shape, this here was a different case

Up it went, and down I went

Slowly but gradually started mounting it

This is how it mostly looked from the underside

And this is the hard part

Decided to go with pie cuts, and heat, to make it shaped the way i want it

Almost done

I really like how it turned out to be honest

What I didnt like is the 4 or 5 hours it took for me to make it happen. Yes, that is correct. So tired. But well worth it. It gives more....volume to the front end. I will now install some more bolts for more secure fit, now that I am sure I like it

Cheers
