I’m having an interesting issue with my 2006 VW GTI. Recently out of nowhere the car started misfiring and the CEL light came on. Also at the same time the coolant warning message come on, saying to stop and check the coolant level. I chcecked the codes and it throws cylinder missfire on random cylinders. Also the coolant level was low. I replaced the spark plugs, filled new cooland and the after 10 minutes of driving same issues all over again. Misfires and low coolant. I dont see any external leaks, no drips etc. therefore I’m assuming it must be burning the coolant. I did compression check and all cylinders seem ok. They have equal pressure and within the spec. The car has about 133k and brand new plugs. Coilpacks were replaced about 30k ago. Any ideas? Thanks
