My engine has been displaying engine Code P2181 on and off now for a few months. I've read a few forum post on different forums saying more than likely this is due to the thermostat needing to be replaced, my car is at 130k.
Anyway, I can't find any up to date DIY guides online for the 2.0 FSI engine that doesn't have broken image links or poor description. The only video I can find is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvlpFfZpUmc. It's not very descriptive and I'm having a lot of trouble following the video's host.
Also, I have a Bentley service manual, but for some reason it only shows how to replace the 2.5l engine and not the 2.0. I've never really worked with the 2.5l engine. It doesn't look like the thermostat is replaced the same way it would be on a 2.0 FSI.
Would anyone be able to provide one or know where to get access to a guide on how to replace the thermostat?
