Dirty Dave callin ya'll out again. (camera help)

Watup ya'll..

So need some assistance with a backup camera i've hooked up to one of the reverse lights.

Theres 2 wires and i spliced into both of them and the light is working fine. Now the camera works fine with the car power (and in reverse gear) on but then when the actual engine is running and I reverse the camera picture shows up sometimes and doesn't at times, and when it does the picture is laggy/distorted.

Is the car limited the power going to the light or something?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It needs a power supply from the battery, I made the same mistake.
I took a power supply from battery and into a relay so it only takes power when needed.

Could you explain this more? confused lol

Pretty sure you only need to splice into the power wire on the reverse light, not both. That's how I did mine and I haven't had any issues.
