Hey guys,

When I was changing out my bulb on my passenger side, I must have broke a mount or something inside the headlight assembly. The headlight now can swivel up and down. At first it wasn't much of an issue, but now the headlight keeps going out.

Anyone ever heard of this before?

Do I need to replace the whole housing, or is there a fix for the mount inside?

Just to be clear, this is inside the housing, and only the main bulb is affected. I'm not referring to a mounting tab on the exterior of the housing.

Also: this is the headlight I'm referring to: http://i.imgur.com/0N4YFvM.jpg

Thanks

The Bi-Xenon lights are designed to autolevel. Something may have come apart (easy fix?). Best is to take the whole assembly out so you can work on it and see what is wrong. You have to pull the front bumper to get the assembly out.

Worse case you buy a new set of projectors - you can get them on eBay for under $100. The BMW E46 3-series use the same housing and are a good option for cheap replacement.

That's what I'm hoping. I've never seen the inside of the housing and my googlefu was failing me. I'd have a much better idea if I could see inside.

I'm really hoping to only take them off once if I can.
