So I’m thinking about buy a salvage gti as a project car. I’ve seen a few online that don’t look to bad. I also do a few flood damage ones. What are your opinions on buying a flood damaged car?

Flood damage scares me. Mechanical issues I'm pretty good with. Body and rust damage not my forte at all. VW electrics are flakey enough and hard to diagnose dry, I don't want to be anywhere near them after they've been flooded.

Yup, I'd avoid a flood damaged VW like the plague.
