Sooo I totalled the GTI and finally got my subie i wanted.

Long story short, i was leaving an after hours club in philly at around 4 am. Driving down a main st I see some idiot flying up behind me, i assume hes going to try and make it between the gap in front of me. I down shit and go left to the far left lane, start sliding towards the curb. I counter steer, the back end comes out and i end up flying up a curb, through a huge light post, and through a fence into a casino parking lot.

On to the good news. I picked me up a 2004 World Rally Blue STi with 41k on the tach. The car was smoking a bit and as of now I realized the turbonetics GTK-650 was blown. I have a Precision Turbo HP series 5857 Billet on the way. It will be here this coming Thursday and the car should be re-tuned and ready to go by that Sunday.

I stole her for 14,700. Plus another 1500 for the new turbo, install and a tune. I still think i stole this car. With the slowly breaking turbo I still managed to walk a 300whp EVO and an OLD body style sentra with an sr20 swap. The sentra probably put 10 bus lengths on my cousins Stage 2 MK4 GLI. The car was making 430awhp and 424 ft/lbs. Im hoping for around 450-500 with the new turbo setup.

I originally thought i managed to crack a ringland or i had a head gasket leak. From the sounds of the engine, im hoping the only problem was the cheap chinese turbo. Oh and the OG comment, it takes a couple years to figure out youre doing it wrong with FWD and a car scene that is more about how fucked up your oil pan is than how the car performs. I was also sick of subies picking on me at autox events.

I dont know why i slid, it all happened very fast. Me and my 3 passangers should have died, we all walked out without a scratch. Thats what matters. Im also hesitant on buying modded cars like this. I just know the guy who built the car is really good and for 14,7 even if i spend 10gs on making it perfect id still be happy.

I would have never bought someone else's project car, from the looks of it the car was beat to hell! Good luck I always loved this car

Its hit or miss but with a crawford block there really isn't much you can f*ck up in an STI outside of wearable parts. The trans and diffs can take brutal 800hp punishment and be fine for years.

I'm subjective as well hell I won't even buy a used car much less a modded one but none the less good luck with it.

Last time the car was driven was 2007, how could you tell from the picture it was beaten to hell? Car has 42k and im sure was beaten a bit, it will now be furiously beat on by me. If the block goes, oh well, cosworth block will go in as well as a cosworth intake mani. The tranny is next big worry but considering mine is built to withstand over 1000hp launches im pretty content. Let the diffs go, the cusco diffs are looking beautiful anyway. If you can afford to fix and build a car like this, why not?

great buy.. to me this this is going on to near perfect.. leave the engine bay as is.. doesnt need cleaning.. looks brill.. enjoy and dont kill your self. something along these lines is what i want for my next car but i tell u , u have balls... thats the reason i have not done it... bills bills n bills.. id be so scared of that thing popping on me..
i cant affored it when it decides.. i need to do the decisions on when the mods get changed not the car. but im envies.. well leave it at that.
