The C30 polestar was just a limited edition c30 with a tune and cool color. It was not a purpose built race car for the street like the s60 polestar is that can walk c63 AMG's.

I'm staying hopeful that in the next 5 years we'll see real polestar volvo's here that compete head on with the euro elite. Between polestar and Kpax racing, Volvo has more than enough racing resources.

I would hope the S60 Polestar could walk a C63 AMG, it's almost $300K in the states.

that's only because they're built on a one-off basis. Get it on a production line and it could be sold for less than an M3. The question is whether Volvo would ever take on that risk. I'm not holding my breath but a guy can dream. Until then, the tuned T6 motors are bad ass in their own right.

The M3 is still a M car and a Volvo is still a Volvo.

It's fun for romping thru the desert. We just had some crazy monsoon storms with a bunch of rain so i took it out and beat the crap out of it.

awesome, if cobb or any of the tuners ever decide to actually work on the fa20dit in it theres going to be a shit ton of potential if the cvt holds up, just a shame the us hasn't seen a manual fxt since 09.

my project is a beat 05 mt fxt, doubt subaru ever offers a stripped down one here again.

I just purchased an 11' XC60 R Design and added the Polestar tune as my daily. It drives and rides better than the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5, which was the other 2 contenders. Its also the best bang for buck as well with the amount of tech that came in it as well as the fit and finish.

Did the tune make a noticeable difference to you?

I want a project car one day...Anyway, my sales guy is a subaru fanatic and told me he's heard whispers that if the new FXT sells well in the states it's possible we could see an STI Forester. I'm sure that would be a manual. The high torque CVT in the XT is alright but I still can't get use to the slingshot/rubberband feeling it has at low speeds in regular auto mode. The SI modes which simulate either a 6 or 8 speed auto are a little bit better but then mpg's suffer. And it already gets shitty gas mileage.

Absolutely. The torque taking off is awesome. I had to learn the gas pedal real quick.

salesmen will say anything, from what i've read the fxt like mine sold like dogshit on the lots because the typical american buyer doesn't buy what the enthusiast wants. I wish it wasn't the case, but unfortunately it is. Far as i'm concerned a hatchback sti is as close as the us will probably ever see to a forester sti, despite it being available overseas.

Heard a lot of salesman horseshit about this car is fast, turbo next year, it'll get people that don't have penises to sleep with you, etc when i was shopping for frs/brz.

I've read good things about the 14' fxt for the most part, what kind of mpg are you getting? Supposed to be rated for high 20s hwy right?

The frs (fa20di) is only rated for 30 hwy on the manual, best i've seen from a full highway tank is 36.

I average about 21-22 mpg's with mixed driving. straight highway and I've seen 25 mpg but you have to have a pretty light foot. overall it's a great car for where i'm at right now but i'm already drooling over my next car (likely this v60, infiniti q50, or the GTD if it makes it over here). I know, it's a funny mix.

There's really no other words to be said

Lest you guys forget that Volvo actually has a rather notable racing heritage that goes way back. Kpax is currently racing Volvo's and winning at a good clip in the Pirelli World Challenge Series.
