Installing Stock Suspension

Hello,

I have a 09 GTI its lowered with bilstein sport shocks and struts with H & R sport springs. I want to put my stock suspension back on.

I do need to remove the front axles to install the stock suspension?

It may be easier if you remove the axle bolts. I didn't remove it, and had difficulty getting enough clearance to remove the suspension with springs that had a 1" drop. Stock would probably be even tighter.
