No idea at all. My thoughts say no though. It doesn't pressurize based on volume, but instead on constant pressure.

Holly crap this is a mod now. I paid $400 last year to have VW install a new valve cover when engine cover shifted and snapped the spacer off. I didn't realize that I could have just screwed the cap directly into the valve cover minus the spacer.
