Window regulator or window motor

Drove home tonight, passenger window wouldn't go up or down at button press. Window did drop slightly while driving and more once stopped.

I can hear the motor activate for a second or so when pushing the button either way like it's trying to go up or down.

Any chance the window just popped out of the clips?

Is this likely to be a regulator or motor issue and is there anything Vagcom can tell me? I did see the TSB for window separating from the regulator, may this just be putzing with it till it's back in place or is this a broken parts issue?

Ran VCDS: 00933 - Electric Window Motor; Passenger Side (V148): No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation

Is there some way for the motor itself to get pinch protection active without the window working?
