On my way to work sunday a lady is walking her brown lab on the oppsite side of the hwy and the dog gets off and runs across 3 lanes of traffic doin 60mph stops dead in my lane.I had mabey 20ft to stop.Good thing gti's have decent breaks cuase I got the car to stop about half and inch away from the dog.
It would have messed up my car real nice,bye bye intercooler,radiator,and hood.

So today I see this lady walking her dog again on the side of the hwy witha child.wtf?

call the cops and tell them this is the second time you've seen this done and yesterday almost ended in an accident. bitch needs a citation or someshit

seen it happen in front of my dads house while changing my oil in the summer...suxs SOOO much...but the dog got up and ran away like lightening....never found it after looking for the dog for 2-3 hours

I was told once if you hit a dog, walk over to the owner, apologize, and remove the leash attached to the dog from their wrist. Because pretty much everywhere has a leash law.

If the dog wasn't on a leash, the owner is responsible.


That said, i'd be miserable if i hit someones dog.

As a teen I hit a dog after the car in front me hit it first. It was rainy night and the dog ran right out in the road. The car in front of me clipped it probably breaking its back and threw it into my path. That wasn't cool. To make things worse the dog had a collar, but no id/license on it. We never did find out who the owner was. Good thing I was driving a POS 83 Escort at the time.

That's kinda F-up imo. I have a very nice pit, and two smaller cairn terriers & I love them all the same. I stop for any animal in the road whether it be a squirrel, cat, rabbit, etc...
