A Kolsch is a Pilsner brewed with Ale yeast instead of Lager yeast. Slighty sweeter and less crisp...very nice on a warm day. It is the style that inspired our Scwhale...the black schwartzbier that we brewed with an Ale yeast, and is still one of our personal bests.
