Hey guys. I am having a problem with my 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit 2.5 4 door hatchback with manual 5 speed transmission. I purchased the car used a few months ago so don't really know the history, but it has resently developed an issue with what I am assuming is the vehicle speed sensor (I guess output speed sensor for vw). It is causing my speedo to fail periodically, as well as drivability issues. Surging on the highway and odd throttle behavior in the city. I have been looking online for over a week now and can only find information on the automatic Trans, not a sniff about the MK5 manual speed sensor. I have even had other mechanics try to hunt down a replacement and they tell me they don't exist. Before I take it to a dealer, I would like to see if anyone here would know anything about this. The car VIN is WVWCR71K87W121992 and it is throwing a pending P0501 obd2 code. Thanks alot guys.
