Only thing that would have made it better is if you could have had fill light to give the car a little better exposure. But thats getting a bit more involved.

Can fill light be added through editing software, or would a light the only option...trying to learn more about photography..thanks

Ideally getting everything perfect when taking the shot is best but thanks to the awesomeness of RAW processing you can usually recover underexposed areas. Software like Adobe Lightroom or if you have a mac I highly suggest Aperture 3.
Most important thing is composure though which you did really good with. Everything else will come with practice.

Thanks for the input. I'm definately going to keep practicing and try shooting at different times of day. Trying to make it a new hobby.
