Hey guys - sold my MKV, however my coworker has one with a common issue...
Her MKV has experienced the dreaded steering column lock failure. Key barely turns to the first ON position...it actually doesn't.
Had to get it towed last night.
Every generic auto shop I call passes on it. They either don't know how to do it or another said he's worried that "it" will need programming afterwards. Not sure what "it" was as I didn't speak to him.
The VW/Audi shop I used to go to in Rancho Cucamonga has since closed down and I really want to avoid taking this to the dealer, unless one of y'all work there.
Any recommendations?
