Mkv ignition switch DIY??

Is there a DIY somewhere for replacing the ignition switch on a mkv gti specifically? I've seen other diy's for mkiii's but nothing specific for our cars.

You'll need to disassemble the steering column and you'll also need VAG Commander or the dealer to code the immobilizer. This is one of the few jobs I'd take my car to the dealer for.

I'm trying to figure this out myself right now. I don't think the entire ignition lock cylinder needs to be removed, in which case you shouldn't have to screw with the immobilizer coding. The ignition switch just plugs into the end of the cylinder. From what I've gathered so far the tough part of this is simply accessing the switch and getting it out.
